How to connect Google Calendar to ChatGPT?
In order to work with the information in Google Calendar, the Google account being used must first be connected to ChatGPT. In the current ChatGPT structure, new connections can be discovered through Plugins. In accounts that have connected before or in some interfaces, the Apps section may also be visible.
According to the company's explanations, the steps to follow to establish a connection are listed as follows:
Log in to your ChatGPT account.
Open the Plugins section.
Find the Google connection that includes Google Calendar.
If shown, install the plugin and proceed to the connect option.
Click the Connect option.
Sign in with the Google account where the calendar is located.
Review the services shown by Google and the requested permissions.
Complete the connection by approving the necessary permissions.
If multiple Google accounts are used, the correct account must be selected. Connecting a personal account does not automatically make the meetings in the Google Calendar of a work account accessible. The availability of actions that modify the calendar may also not be the same for every account. Can ChatGPT see all events in Google Calendar?

If there are multiple calendars or calendars shared by other people, the access status is shaped according to the Google account's existing permissions on those calendars. The ChatGPT connection does not grant a new Calendar permission that the Google account does not already have.
In a work or school account, administrators may apply additional restrictions. The Google Workspace administrator may need to approve the ChatGPT/OpenAI app's use of certain Google permissions. The ChatGPT workspace administrator can also separately determine which Google app actions can be used.
When the connection is established, it should not be assumed that ChatGPT automatically transfers all Google data into a separate personal search index. A normal app connection accesses the information necessary for the supported request being made within the framework of the account's permissions.
What can be done if Google Calendar does not appear in ChatGPT?
If the relevant option does not appear even though you want to connect Google Calendar, this may not be solely due to an app error. The availability of plugins and apps may vary depending on the ChatGPT plan, account, region, interface used, and workspace settings.
First of all, it is recommended to check the Plugins section. Since the app directory was moved to the Plugin directory in July 2026, the menu names in older descriptions may not exactly match the interface on the current account. Existing app connections, however, can continue to be used without being affected by this transition.
If the Google connection can be found but the account cannot be connected, the permissions requested on Google's authorization screen need to be checked. It is also possible for a previously established connection to request additional permissions for a new action. In such a case, reconnecting the account and approving the new permissions may be required.
In corporate accounts, two different administrator layers may come into play. The ChatGPT workspace administrator may have disabled the relevant plugin or action. The Google Workspace administrator may also not have granted the necessary Google scopes to the ChatGPT/OpenAI OAuth app.

How to remove the Google Calendar connection from ChatGPT?
If Google Calendar is no longer wanted to be used with ChatGPT, the connection can be removed. For this, there is no need to delete the Calendar events in the Google account or close the Google account.
In ChatGPT, by going to the Settings section, the Apps or Plugins area shown on the account is opened. After selecting the Google connection, there is a connected accounts section. The options menu next to the account to be removed can be opened and the Disconnect option can be used. Depending on the interface, connection management may be shown on the plugin's own page.
If multiple Google accounts are connected, it is possible to separate only the selected account. Removing the last connected account may also affect the status of the relevant plugin in the installed list.
Disconnecting does not delete existing events in Google Calendar. It only stops ChatGPT from accessing the account through the said connection in the future. ChatGPT conversations previously created using Google Calendar data also do not automatically disappear the moment the connection is disconnected.
For this reason, when removing the Google Calendar connection, two operations need to be distinguished from each other. The connection can be disconnected to end calendar access, and if the conversations previously created within ChatGPT are to be removed, the relevant chats can be managed separately.
